As part of the study, we would like to find out how moving school is experienced by children and families and whether they have found that anything in particular helped make the move easier or made it more difficult. We would also like to involve children who have experienced one or more school moves and their families in developing guidance to provide better and more tailored educational support. This is to help other families and school staff working with children who have moved schools.
- Does your child have experience of moving school outside of standard school transitions?
- Do you currently live in England?
- Would you and your child be willing to discuss your experiences with researchers from the Universities of Birmingham and Warwick?
If the answer is yes and your child age 8-16 has experience of one or more school moves, we would very much like to hear from you both. We will invite you both to a discussion at a time and place convenient to you.
