\ud83d\udce3<\/strong><\/strong> School MOVES at the Children and Childhoods Conference 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are delighted to be presenting at the seventh biennial Children and Childhoods Conference<\/a> at the University of Suffolk in July 2026. Our presentation will focus on how schools can better support pupils who move outside standard transitions. Drawing on emerging findings from the qualitative and quantitative work packages, we will share insights into how school responses shape pupils\u2019 learning, wellbeing, and sense of belonging, alongside examples of practices emerging from participating schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udce3<\/strong><\/strong> School MOVES at the SPA Annual Conference 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are really excited to be presenting at the Social Policy Association<\/a> annual conference in Liverpool in July 2026. Our presentation will draw on emerging findings from our quantitative analyses of school data and mobility funding in England to critically examine different conceptualisations, operationalisations and measurements of pupil school mobility and their implications for how we analyse how children move through the school system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udce3<\/strong><\/strong> School MOVES at ECER 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are delighted to report that we will be presenting the School Moves project at this year\u2019s ECER<\/a> conference in Tampere, Finland. Our presentation will be part of the thematic group on \u2018Communities, Families, and Schooling in Educational Research\u2019 and will be focusing on how non-standard school moves are experienced and approached by children, schools and local authorities in England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udce3<\/strong> School MOVES at BERA 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are happy to share the news that we will be presenting the project at this year\u2019s BERA<\/a> conference in Manchester. In our presentation we will be presenting key findings from our project, in particularly focusing on the lived experiences of pupil school mobility and best practices to address it within schools and local authorities. We look forward to sharing and discussing the findings and their implications with colleagues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We would like to share the exciting news that we will be presenting some findings from the School MOVES project at European Conference on Educational Research (ECER) 2025 organised by the European Educational Research Association (EERA)<\/a> between 9-12th September in Belgrade, Serbia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our paper is titled: Pupil School Mobility \u2013 Why do Pupils Move and What is the Impact on Their Educational Experiences?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We look forward to sharing insights from our systematic review of literature on school mobility. Hoping to make some great connections!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
